DGA Innovations, Inc. proudly acquires Graze
In April 2024, DGA Innovations, Inc. acquired the Graze publication from publishers Joel and Ruth McNair to carry on the ‘by graziers, for graziers’ legacy. The McNairs were planning to retire and discontinue Graze, but Joel had a change of heart when he asked Joe Tomandl III about continuing the publication. Tomandl, who enjoyed reading the Graze newspaper over the past 24 years, was interested and began moving forward with the acquisition process.
DGA Innovations, Inc. is the for-profit wholly owned subsidiary of Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship, Inc., where Tomandl serves as the Executive Director. This business structure will allow Graze to continue operations in its current format. Joel and Ruth McNair will stay on at Graze until the end of the year for transition purposes, while Martha Hoffman Kerestes steps into the role of Managing Editor.
“The most important part of surrounding yourself with people of like interests is the people part,” said Tomandl. “We owe Joel and Ruth a deep debt of gratitude for bringing us Graze.”
