Board of Directors and National Apprenticeship Training Committee
The DGA Board of Directors is collectively responsible for ensuring effective governance of fiscally sound programs as well as the strategic direction of the organization. The Board oversees the management of the Executive Director, who is a resource for the board. Board members do not manage the day-to-day operations of DGA but rather support the work of the Executive Director through advice and policy direction with guidance and oversight to advance DGA’s mission.
The National Apprenticeship Training Committee (NATC) is the standing committee of DGA that carries out the responsibilities and duties required by the U.S Department of Labor National Standards of Apprenticeship for the occupation of “Dairy Grazier.” The NATC responsibilities include reviewing and approving Mentor Dairy Graziers, Apprentice graduations, and changes to the Apprenticeship curriculum.
