Dual Roles on a Value Added Organic Dairy Farm.
Dairy Processing and Cow Side Care. The role ideally would be for a person who is motivated to work with cows AND process milk. This position has precedence, eg, we very successfully had a DGA apprentice help manage the dairy processing plant as well as do a lot with cow care and grazing. This position comes with the expectation of at least 50% on farm dairy processing. The right candidate will see this as an amazing opportunity, especially if motivated to do their own value added processing in the future.
We are adaptive to your skill set, knowing that a growth mindset is more valuable than innate ability. There are few people with the majority of the above skills, so we will support personal growth, in the above, and , language, agronomy, food safety training, CDL training, conferences, etc.
Payscale: $20-$30/hour (maybe equivalent salary?) dependent on fit and experience. Every other weekend off (3 day) if desired.

FTO: 2 weeks/ year first year.
